Thanks Amy! Check out our older students rock painting for our Peace Garden too. Our little students have also made some cute little painted rocks and hidden them in the garden for another student to find...and then they hide them for others to find! :)
Have fun...rocks provide a great starting point for many art works!

How exciting to be making your dreams a reality. We always love visitors and love the chance to talk about how we created them and how we use them too. We are also going through building and renovations so I understand a bit about what you are going through. Although some of our gardens are impacted by the process we are looking at the opportunity of new gardens and areas of natural play and learning spaces.

This blog and your school is amazing, very inspirational! I'm a teacher and leader of sustainability in a new school, Emmaus Catholic Primary School, in Ballarat. The final stage of our building is nearly complete and so next year we will be in a position to start to create some wonderful gardens. We are beginning to dream and gather ideas already- everyone is getting very excited! Wondering if you allow visitors come to your school to look at your garden?

Thanks for visiting my blog Caroline. The kids certainly were very taken with the story about Hiroshima and Sadako which then lead onto creating our Peace stones in the Peace Garden....Sadako was around their ages when she died....

I love looking at this blog and the beautiful pictures of the children and he gardens. Those peace stones look gorgeous and it is so important for the students to learn about such things from the past and never repeat what happened. Wouldn't it be great if all those little preying mantis survived.

I'm so impressed with what the school is doing, I'd like to share it with my Committee and with our friends at Anderson's Creek Primary in Warrandyte, especially since they're setting up a vege garden soon, Dee's knowledge also would be welcomed by them - if they don't already know about you. I loved seeing all these beautiful coloured stones suddenly appear after lunch yesterday (clearly I wasn't wandering around during lunch to notice them- only on my walk up to the art room)!
